The United States
Climate Action Network (USCAN) is the U.S. member of a worldwide network,
and is a coalition of thirty U.S.-based non-governmental organizations
concerned with environmental, development and energy issues. Organizations
work individually and collectively through USCAN to inform and influence
U.S. and international policies. With an office and coordinator in Washington,
DC, USCAN also leads the global network's efforts to shape the policies
of international financial institutions, including the IMF and World Bank,
and the Global Environment Facility.
USCAN publishes a quarterly newsletter, Hotline, that provides updates
on science and U.S. and international policies and activities related to
global climate change. Editions of Hotline will soon be available on the
Worldwide Web.
USCAN also publishes Citizens' Update, a bi-weekly newsbrief on local,
state, regional and national issues related to global climate change, and
on the scientific community and industry responses to them.
Subscriptions to both Hotline and Citizens' Update are available through
USCAN. For more information about global warming, contact USCAN or any
of the member organizations.
